The 17th Annual 2009 Financial and Operations Study is complete. During 2009 we continued to see deterioration of gross profits due to discounting and market pressure on sales prices. Operating expenses began to level off and for some builders drop. We feel the industry is reaching equilibrium once again, therefore the focus now needs to be on how to adjust product and processes to once again achieve superior profits. Our experience throughout the years has been superior performers can weather any storm and come out of a downturn a stronger and better company.
